The Bespoke Object Revisited

Progress Blog
March 23rd, 2025

So, I haven't posted a blog post in a couple weeks because my updates are not all that exciting yet, but here's a run down on what I've been up to the past two weeks.

First of all, I completed my FDM printed tests for my object. A couple issues were creating the gallery for the acrylic to sit in (the little dots to secure the material had to be larger) and the slot for the removable wing got too fragile and ended up snapping on both sides as I removed the support material. I've spent the past few weeks workshopping the object for (hopefully) the last time.

I also worked on perfecting the dimensions of the acrylic and I finally cracked it. I did a few more tests with three different sizes and surprisingly the first one that was unaltered worked the best.

On Thursday, I sent the object to be resin printed and I'm not certain when it will be complete but I'm assuming by the end of the week. Fingers crossed everything works and goes to plan so that I can complete the object with enough time to do a photo shoot with it!
